Tableau & Alteryx Consultant

Bibi Berghout

Bibi believes that analytics and visualization should not be isolated activities, but integrated into a visual analytics process. Through visual analytics, she helps companies answer questions quickly by building dashboards that combine business value, ease of use and engagement. Bibi also uses Alteryx and Tableau Prep for ETL tasks. Bibi is also a Tableau trainer.

Bibi started working at The Information Lab in July 2019, after finishing the Microsoft Azure Academy for Data Science. After this kickstart in the field of data, where she learned the principles of SQL, Python, Machine Learning and Power BI, she made the switch to working with Tableau and Alteryx. Initially the work consisted mainly of providing support and training for our customers, but whenever she got the chance she was creating smooth football dashboards. In November 2021, together with TIL colleagues Lars and Joris, she took this a step further and launched Halftime Heroes; a platform to create and share Sport Data visualizations. You can find Halftime Heroes on social media, or check out their Tableau Public profile here.

In February of 2020 Bibi started a placement at Viterra, where she picked up the skills to work agile/scrum. Working closely together in a BI team with Oracle developers and a business analyst, she's seen the business mature a lot in two years time. Besides learning a lot of technical aspects, this placement also taught her that good communication with stakeholders from the business always remains key.
