This blog is part of a series. You can find the first one here.
You have just completed your project and your analysis is now living in production.

So what now?

Well, I could almost say that this is where it all begins.

As a matter of fact, it is key that you make sure that your dashboard is used and understood well from the business and the end users.

You can monitor the usage in all the main BI platforms and you definitely want to schedule a follow up meeting after a few weeks or a month from the launch in production.

This would be beneficial for you and for the business because you can then fully validate if and how the business is using the dashboard.

During this meeting, you can ask one of the users to show you how they are using the analysis in their day to day or how it is benefitting their role/ work. This way you can assess whether there is anything that could be improved, changed or re-evaluate certain aspects.

Is your analysis or your dashboard doing what it is intended to do in the real world? Is there something more you can do?

You should definitely include this final assessments into your ways of working because it is after production that many analysis just die and end up not being really used and connecting with the end users to check in with them afterwards can help prevent this from happening in the first place.

As mentioned this blog is part of a series and this is the last piece of it. You can find the first one here.
